The About page. The page where a company does the business equivalent of “I’m an Aquarius, and I love cats and long walks on the beach.”
The goal is to give you some sense of who you might hire, if you choose to do business with us. Well, when it comes to the team behind Small World, we’ve been in the domain and Internet industry for a while – more than a few lifetimes if you add up all the years. This is our space and we know it well.
Beyond experience, what you should know about us are the values that drive us to do this every day.
We value innovation and looking beyond barriers. We believe many obstacles are self-imposed which leaves room for a fast mover.
We value the blue ocean strategy and look for ways to create a market for ourselves and our clients (this is a benefit of our view regarding barriers).
We value trust. When we commit to a project, we move heaven and earth to keep that commitment to you and, by extension, your clients.
We value fairness. We seek to build mutually beneficial businesses and agreements that allow everyone to gain. We believe you can be successful and sleep well at night. We do it all the time.
We value holistic views. We believe you gain more when you see a goal or a project from a distance and take into account the whole experience. It’s design thinking, and we practice it every day.
We’re fond of creatives and makers. People build, create, design, and make excellent stuff. From food to tables, software to mugs, everyone has something to contribute. We value your passions and applaud you for having the guts to pursue them. It’s not easy. We know.
So, in a nutshell, that’s Small World Communications and our sister company, Designing Nation (most of the same folks, all of the same values).
